When you step through the door into the restaurant you feel as if you've stepped back into the 70's. The decorum definitely needs updated. The food is okay but I would have expected better for the price. On the good side their wine list was one of the most extensive I've seen in Altoona and the service was good.

Having had fine dining experiences (not in Altoona), I was a little taken back when I went to Finelli's. It's in the middle of a run down neighborhood. Upon entering, you feel like it's a converted 1930's home instead of a restaurant. The decor needs updated. I was dressed for a fine dining experience and the guy sitting across the room was dressed like he was at home watching the game (baggy shorts and a t shirt). But the food was great and I would definitely go back again.
